INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
Abstracts
The abstracts should be send by e-mail on the
address of the Organizing Committee:
24imms@icho.edu.pl not later
than 17th
March, 2006. If we do not get the abstract by that time, it can
not be included in the conference proceedings! Please include your
name or initials in the abstract's filename - it is really difficult
to cope with hundreds of 'abstract.doc' files.
The abstracts should be prepared as the Microsoft
Word (versions 2000, XP or 2003) .doc or .rtf files according to the
specifications given in a
sample file.
The size of the printing area should be exactly 15 by 21 cm with
margins equal on both sides and equal on the top and bottom of the
page. The abstract may contain figures and schemes embedded in the
text but should not exceed one printing page. Please note, that the
size of the page will be reduced by 15%. We strongly suggest not to
use fonts other than Arial (or Helvetica), Times New Roman (or
Times) and Symbol. If you really need to use other fonts, please
save them together with your document. The appropriate setting can
be found in the 'Options' form from the 'Tools' menu in MS Word.
Oral
presentations
Oral presentations will be 20 minutes
or 30 minutes
long, including a few minutes for discussion. Longer lectures will
be selected by the organizers and their number will be strictly
limited. The preferred form is
a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation (versions 2000, XP or 2003). Due
to the technical reasons it will not be possible to use the
lecturer's own notebook - please provide presentation on CD-ROM or a
flash drive. Multimedial presentations other than PowerPoint and
Adobe Acrobat can be accepted providing that they will be prepared
as the "self-executing" files, running under Microsoft Windows 2000
or XP operating systems without any special software. If you really
require something special, please contact the organizers. For
conservatives the overhead projector will be provided. Slides are
not acceptable.
Important note:
due to the rather small size of the screen in the lecture room the
speakers are kindly requested to use large fonts in their presentations, strongly contrasting from the background. We suggest that the
smallest font size should be 16 pt.
Posters
The boards for displaying posters will have the
size 120 x 120 cm. Please fit the dimensions of your poster to these
limits. Appliances for fixing the posters to the boards will be
provided by the organizers.
Manuscripts
As usual, during the IMMS the organizers will
collect manuscripts of the papers to be published in a special issue
of the Journal of Mass Spectrometry. Of course, these manuscripts
will be subjected to the normal refereeing procedure. Manuscripts
should be submitted to the Conference Office not later than 18th
May 2006.
