Dr. Maciej Giedyk graduated with a Master's of Engineering degree in chemistry from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, in 2012. He completed his PhD studies at the Institute of Organic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Dorota Gryko in 2016, working on the synthesis and catalytic properties of vitamin B12 derivatives. At the beginning of 2018, he took up a postdoctoral position in the group of Prof. Burkhard K÷nig at the University of Regensburg. In 2019 he was appointed assistant professor at the Institute of Organic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences. His research interests include light-induced processes, the chemistry of organic halides, cobalt-catalysis and microheterogenous solutions.
